Project Highlights
- Our client approached us with a requirement to build a wearable pet tracking app and device that can track their pet and monitor their health.
- PsiBorg designed a Pet Tracker device that has to be attached to the pet’s collar. The device consists of a temperature sensor, pulse oximeter, blood pressure sensor, GPS module, long-range Bluetooth module, and activity monitor.
- This Pet Tracking App and Device offers real-time tracking of the pet and monitors its health, allowing the pet owner to be constantly updated about their pet’s health.
- We also configured an LTE device to communicate with a mobile app/gateway, even if the owner is not in the same room as their pet.
- PsiBorg developed an interactive Pet Tracking System along with a pet wearable device that created a virtual safety net and allowed the pet owner to have real-time updates.
About the Project
The goal of the project was to develop a Bluetooth-enabled pet tracking app and device that will allow pet owners to track their pets in real-time and gather vital health and wellness reports regarding their pets. Such as their heart rate, step counts, sleep during a certain period of time, body temperature, and more.
We focused on offering all pet lovers a seamless, clutter-free experience with a sensational duo of IoT and GPS.

Challenges
Having a pet is not only about playing with them, feeding them, and taking them out for a walk. Owning a pet comes with greater responsibilities. If you own a pet, you must take care of its health, exercise, and overall well-being.
There can be situations when you set your naughty pet free for a second and they run away, or when your dear pet is sick and you have to monitor their sleeping patterns, their general behavior, and more.
However, due to limited time and resources, it gets difficult to monitor pet health. Nevertheless, the pet tracker for dogs will let you overcome all these challenges by providing real-time monitoring and alerts through a cat and dog tracking chip.
Our Innovative Solution
To address the above challenges, we created a comprehensive solution consisting of an app and a hardware device.
The duo of app and tracker devices allows pet owners to track their pet’s whereabouts in real-time and easily monitor its health.
We designed the hardware so that it can easily be attached to the pet’s collar. The pet collar was designed to fit multiple sensors and a GPS. In addition, we also developed a mobile app that is constantly synchronized with the device.
The main points of the project were:
- To develop a comprehensive and user-friendly device that includes temperature sensors, blood-pressure sensors, a GPS module, a long-range Bluetooth module, and an activity monitor.
- Integrate alert and recommendation features into the device to provide real-time alerts and monitoring of the pet to keep the owner informed about their pet’s wellbeing.

Safe Zone Alerts
The system allows pet owners to set virtual fencing, and when the pet crosses the virtual fence, an alert is sent to the owners informing them about the pet’s whereabouts.
Result
This interactive pet tracker app, along with the pet wearable device, created a safety net- and the user could get real-time updates about their pets on their phone.
The app relieves users from the stress of finding missing pets through traditional methods and is designed to make pet lovers feel more connected to their furry companions.
Our team developed this pet tracking app and device with advanced analytics and machine-learning capabilities to generate accurate insights and recommendations. This combination of hardware, software, and cloud-based backend components has given the product a scalable platform.
This project wasn’t very difficult to achieve, and our team enjoyed developing a pet-tracker for cats.
